Prof. Stanley Coren was there and testified. The jury has made some recommendations about the keeping of dogs with children and want an education program created for grade 3 kids.........to be taught by the BCSPCA. I never heard one thing mentioned about the fact the Rotties that did this, normally live outside and were supposed to be contained to the bsmt but they got out. Why does nobody get it? Not even Coren? Maybe he said something, but the reporter didn't repeat it. I'd be interested in reading the transcript of the inquest. This would be such a great opportunity to talk about and bring awareness to how keeping dogs isolated and confined away from the family, contributes to this kind of attack. And I don't think education will stop that.
