Rabbit blown up on Halloween
In Response To: Seeing pet abuse as a warning ()

You know what drives me CRAZYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY about the response this story gets is that it ALWAYS boils back to how it affects the *human*.

Granted animal abuse often translates itself into human abuse but honestly.....does everything always have to go back to how it affects the human? Can not the horrific death that this poor animal suffered *alone* not be enough of a reason for society to be concerned or have a negative gut reaction?

What about the poor rabbit that had it's guts blown out....or the many other animals tortured at the hands of humans each day?

The posters here at least acknowledged the rabbit but everywhere else that this story has been featured, society is soley concerned about how the torture of an animal will affect the HUMAN.

People as a whole have got to get over themselves and realize they are not the ONLY species on the earth. Anything that ever happens in this universe shouldn't always be judged or given importance strictly on the basis on *how it affects humans*.
