Hot dogs to aid real dogs

PARKSVILLE — The dogs will be going to the dogs early next month at Oceanside Chevrolet in Parksville.

That’s when the car dealership holds a special hot dog sale and car wash to benefit the Parksville and District SPCA.

“Oceanside Chevrolet is aware we don’t receive any government funding and we rely on the generous donations from the people of our community,” Shelter manger Nadine Durante said. “It’s wonderful that the community and local businesses work with us to help take care of the animals that are entrusted to our care.”

The hot dog sale and car wash event will kick off at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 4 and will continue until 2 p.m.
