I don't think that those of us who walk their non-aggressive dogs should always be in constant fear of being attacked by a vicious dog

My question is...why if this dog that attacked and KILLED another dog and was going through "training" due to it's aggressive nature not MUZZLED? If it was known that this dog was so aggressive to smaller animals, in my opinion this dog should have been muzzled in public, no matter if it was a Pit bull or a Lab! I don't think that those of us who walk their non-aggressive dogs should always be in constant fear of being attacked by a vicious dog. I have three boxers...none that are aggressive. One of my boxers is almost 90 lbs of pure wuss.! He would not stand a chance against any other dogs, let alone a Pit bull...his size NOT being the issue here. The owners of aggressive dogs MUST be made accountable. I feel for the owners of the dog that was put down..BUT they KNEW their dog was aggressive and did NOT take the steps to insure that other dogs, and THEIR dog, would be safe. To knowingly take an aggressive dog out in public without the needed precautions is just plain stupid in my opinion...and TWO lives paid the cost of one STUPID human.
