In some places they seem to refer all feral cat concerns to the small cat rescues, who are over-crowded, over burdened, and broke

The Saltspring SPCA (a cat and rabbit branch only) has a new CAC and the old branch manager is no longer there.
So I wrote to the new CAC requesting a civil relationship and requesting information re: their feral cat policies and also their policies re: fostering cats for women in the Transition House.
I got a letter back, but they refused to give me any information.
They refered me to Bob Busch, but no-one at Head Office ever answers my letters.
I have never heard of the SPCA having any feral cat policies.

All expenses are paid by the small rescue groups, often out of the individual member's pockets.
In other places, like Saltspring, they refuse to have anything to do with the local cat rescue.
Assistance with spay/neuter is hit and miss. Some people get it, others don't, and the means test applies to some people, and not others.

The SPCA is still euthanizing feral cats. How much closer are they to a solution than they were in 2001?
