To blame the public is like saying, why do we need police

Absolutely! It makes me steam when I hear of an SPCA personnel blaming the public. There are always, always going to be irresponsible pet owners. ALWAYS! This is WHY we need an SPCA to protect animals. To blame the public is like saying, why do we need police...it is up to the public to act morally responsible. We have police to keep order. The SPCA is supposed to be a society that keeps order for the animals.

We need the SPCA to spay and neuter animals, especially BEFORE they leave any SPCA premise in the province of BC. We need spay and neuter programs for those people who keep animals but can't afford to fix them. And we continue to need litter licenses for those people breeding and selling the mass number of puppies that are forever in the buy and sell, and various newspapers.
