Animal Advocates Watchdog

This is distressing, unprofessional and undeserved *LINK* *PIC*

The BCSPCA's decision to remove Boxer Rescue from the its "Approved Rescue Group List" is distressing, unprofessional and undeserved. The animal victims of abuse and neglect will pay the ultimate and severe price for the action the SPCA has taken. These animals, unable to speak for themselves, are now left even more helpless as a link between the BCSPCA and devoted, experienced and competent members of the Animal Welfare, Rescue,Rehabilitation and Advocacy community has been severed. Access by Boxer Rescue to the services that the BCSPCA provides is now denied, and the valuable assistance which Boxer Rescue offers to the BCSPCA will no longer be requested.

The post referred to, in my opinion, consisted of a detailed description of incidents which placed the lives of several dogs at risk as well as specific questions which when answered would lead to a better understanding of the issues expressed. Asking questions and receiving answers through a forum benefits members of many other Rescue Groups as well as BCSPCA members, and does not constitute defamation. The process of establishing an open and honest dialogue between two parties can only assist both groups as they work toward the same goal of speaking and acting on behalf of innocent victims.

It is my hope that Boxer Rescue and other Rescue Groups previously removed from the "BCSPCA Approved List" will be given recognition for the excellent work the organizations have done and that these Rescue Groups will be reinstated as Approved Members.

Failure to do so will cause undeserving victims to suffer more abuse and neglect and will prevent the BCSPCA from working along side Boxer Rescue and other rescue groups as they together move forward to a common goal.

I will not be silenced from telling the truth or asking questions
The more the SPCA refuses to work with other groups the more the public will support the smaller rescue groups

I fail completely to see the logic of how removing Boxer Rescue from the list of “approved rescues” will help the dogs that need to be helped
To do anything that would jeopardize the health and happiness of animals, because of what basically is a grudge, is wrong
It's ridiculous to see that instead of answers, Boxer Rescue Canada was stricken from the SPCA's approved list
