If SPCA does follow through with their court case against AAS, truths such as this...

Big Dog Rescue is the same rescue that SPCA management sent Kito (yellow lab/husky) to, instead of AAS.

AAS had specifically asked SPCA management could they be contacted if Kito's owner intended to give Kito up. When the SPCA went to inspect Kito after more complaints, the SPCA suggested his owner give him to Big Dog Rescue.

Kito was sent to Big Dog Rescue with untreated severe infections that occurred due to neglect while being tied in a basement stairwell for years.

Big Dog Rescue did not take Kito to a vet and did not treat Kito's ear infections, then lied to AAS and said Kito had seen a vet, and had been treated. AAS proved otherwise, that the vet that Kito supposedly saw, had no records of ever seeing him.

Makes a lot of sense doesn't it.... that SPCA management ignored public pleas for intervention on behalf of Kito, chained to a basement stairwell with terrible ear infections,bone-thin, and having suffered abusive neglect, and they choose to recommend Kito be given to Big Dog Rescue over AAS!!??? ( Big Dog Rescue was later charged in a court of law for abuse and neglect of animals.) And now, BC SPCA management has crossed off Boxer Rescue Canada from their list of reputable rescues, refusing to work with them. They have also blatantly refused to work with AAS.

If SPCA does follow through with their court case against AAS, truths such as this, and many more incidents, will be exposed to the BC public. Then the public's donations will become thinner or non existent as a result.

The public has every right to complain... if the SPCA can't take the heat they should get out of the kitchen
The SPCA's sense of 'entitlement' makes them poor partners

Increasing use of the threat of defamation by the BC SPCA
This is distressing, unprofessional and undeserved *LINK* *PIC*
I will not be silenced from telling the truth or asking questions
The more the SPCA refuses to work with other groups the more the public will support the smaller rescue groups
What would have happened if the letter was written by an SPCA donor?
I fail completely to see the logic of how removing Boxer Rescue from the list of “approved rescues” will help the dogs that need to be helped
To do anything that would jeopardize the health and happiness of animals, because of what basically is a grudge, is wrong
It's ridiculous to see that instead of answers, Boxer Rescue Canada was stricken from the SPCA's approved list
