Sometimes only a bit of help gives a cat a new lease on life

So often is the SPCA secretive and lacking in care!
This woman found an ill cat and took it to the SPCA for help - not to have it killed. She deserves to be part of the process, not to be ignored.
From my own experience, I know that often some dental work, and if needed, thyroid medication, will turn a frail old cat into a sunbeam-seeking, happy retiree.
How sad that the SPCA chose to kill this cat, without bothering to contact "the finder" (the woman who cared), and now are once again, in their cavalier way, being secretive about it.

Simple policy changes could have prevented this
I have sat on the sidelines and watched the SPCA for more years than I can name

The Ministry of Environment decided from the start that they would not want to release Helena
What is most disturbing is the SPCA's lack of explanation and communication
