In Victoria, Greater Victoria Animals' Crusaders is now helping women and children seeking help in transition houses by fostering/boarding their pets. This is being done by direct referral from the Transition Houses.
While in GVAC's care we will also provide free spay/neuter, and free needed veterinary care in accordance with the client's wishes.
This is a new project for GVAC and one we hope to expand as resources permit to help others in the community not wanting to simply abandon their animals when homelife circumstances drastically change.
