BC SPCA President Lauded the Fundraising Benefits of Cruelty and Neglect Investigations Last Fall in Vernon

Last September, at a public meeting held at the Vernon SPCA shelter,BC SPCA President Mary Lou Troman told those in attendance that money would pour into Vernon from throughout the province - and from even further afield - once the shelter became an Animal Protection Centre and began housing animals seized in the course of cruelty and neglect investigations. Mary Lou was quite frank about the profitable nature of these investigations.
Later, at the same meeting, Ms. Troman accused ex-SPCA supporter, Glenn Miller, of stating that the BC SPCA deliberately instigated such investigations as moneymakers. Glenn, of course had said no such thing, and Ms. Troman was forced to apologize to him and the meeting. Why would Madam President even think of such a possibility!!!???
