Here is the official recorded # of animals killed in North Carolina shelters in 2005 (5 shelters did not report). Animal Shelter Reform Group reports that it adds up to 129,271. To make matters worse North Carolina still uses gas chambers.

Making this report public is a good step in holding shelters accountable for the gross lose of life. The BCSPCA should follow suit ~ let the public know how many animals are taken into their shelters and how many make it out alive.
