Why should it take public outcry to force those involved to acknowledge their actions and correct them?

The motto of all civilization needs to read:

'Cruelty, IN ANY MANIFESTATION, to any living creature, is unacceptable and non-justifiable. Period.'

At no time is the bad deed one commmits, outweighed by the good. Is a murderer any less a murderer if he kills onle one person in a crowd?
In frivolous, everyday terms, that is the equivalent to saying: "Well, I don't know why I gained another 10 pounds; I DIDN'T eat the banana split, I ONLY ate a cake! It's not what you DON'T eat that matters.

Whatever happened to accountability? Why should it take public outcry to force those involved to acknowledge their actions and correct them? Mere human ethics would dictate that people stop making excuses for and hiding their blunders and/or abuses and take responsibility.

The objective before us now is to point out the wrongdoings and require those involved to acknowledge their actions and correct them immediately. Refusal to do so by the person or organization so discovered, should be punishable by immediate closure of the perpetrating group until all necessary changes are made.

Whether chld abuse, spousal abuse, animal abuse, elder abuse, et al., exposure to the public seems to be the most efficient way to force abusers to step up and right the wrongs. Silence helps only the tormentor, never the tormented.

Is that not what AAS and its supporters are all about?

This is so deceitful in so many ways
The stench of this hypocrisy is like that from a putrid body
If PETA is so comfortable with all the "euthanasia" that they choose to do, why don't they do a better job of publicizing it?
PETA founder admits to killing dozens of animals a day
Murders of convenience
I would not support PETA now
Anyone who truly does not want to kill excess animals does not take that paycheque for long

Is it okay for a good father to beat his wife?
Why should it take public outcry to force those involved to acknowledge their actions and correct them?
It may take an awful lot of public condemnation, and lack of funding to change PETA's minds
I have been a supporter of PETA for a number of years and this has really made me question what I was supporting *LINK*
