My understanding of this situation is that Sea World bears some responsiblity for the aggressive behavior of this whale. These whales are routinely deprived of food as punishment for not obeying commands while undergoing training. These whales are intelligent, beautiful creatures, kept in very stressful situations, driving some over the edge, so to speak. Surely Sea World cannot be surprised that this trainer was killed? Goes to show how out of touch they are with the very animals, they supposedly care for. This very public exploitation of whales needs to stop. Time to free the Orcas and stop bringing in more.
