I personally hired Gary [Gibson, Custom Canine] when we were compiling our precedents for court.
The Judge and even Troy DeSouza [lawyer] for the RDN knew him and clearly respected him.

Just on his word my Golden was released before the court case which is damning enough.

'Oh sorry she isn't vicious now... here...have her back OK'...

The RDN contract out to the SPCA to seize dogs. (FACT)

When my dogs were seized that early morning in January I cried out...
"The SPCA has no jurisdiction here" The RCMP laughed and shouted..."They do now!"

This is a win win for the SPCA because they make their 'judgments' of dogs, (based on their week of training of course) then simply call for the backing of the RDN (ex. cop Jack Eubanks). RDN or SPCA did not even come to my home or ever meet my dogs in spite of my demand that they do so when I first began to be under attack from SPCA.

SPCA make money from huge Kennel fees or, if the owner of a seized dog does not put up a long and expensive fight for their dog, SPCA get the $400 re-sale of the dog. Win-win.

SPCA here seldom seize truly sick or abused dogs. I know this. In fact they get very indignant if you ask them to intervene.

As for asking them to rescue horses well this is an absolute affront and they get downright nasty! (my experience) I won in the end. Not for my horses but for three that locals had been reporting for years literally...However it took my letters to SPCA head office and MLA's.

Good job I don't do this for a popularity contest that's for sure. I/We do this for those that have no voice or strength. Poor things.

When I adopted my (imprisoned) black dog from SPCA...She was the puppy of a pure-bred Dalmatian in the next cell. When I asked if I could adopt the Dalmatian (I used to have one) I was told no she was vicious. I then discovered she was a local dog that used to wander around her front gate locally. The owners obviously didn't/couldn't fight back against the bullies.
