NorskeCanada told local newspaper they are going to trap and kill with the assistance of the Cowichan and District SPCA BUT the SPCA says they have NO INTENTIONS of taking in Norske's feral colonies and destroying them AND a senior officer will be contacting Norske with regards to the actions mentioned in the paper and the humanitarian issues with respect to sustenance deprival. We are very thrilled with this news. If we can all work together maybe we really can save these cats!

April 30th UPDATE: Norske continues to claim SPCA is going to assist. In today's local paper NorskeCanada claims that the Nanaimo SPCA is going assist them, but a quick phone call to Nanaimo confirms to us that no one from NorskeCanada has ever contacted them and if they did, they'd get the same answer that our SPCA gave them and the one we gave them. They haven't bothered to contact anyone in regards to any of our letters. Pretty disheartening for "community partners", huh??? Thanks to everyone who's written letters and cc'd us! Keep it up!!!!!
