Spurious argument number four against breed specific controls: The "slippery slope" argument.
This one is as illogical as the rest. It argues that if we prohibit or strictly control some breeds of dogs, soon all breeds of dogs will be prohibited or strictly controlled.
We live in a democracy, and politicians that tried to ban Chihuahuas (the favourite breed used in this argument) would soon find themselves out of office.
In fact, the trend is to more freedom for dogs, not less. This argument is downright silly.
