I went to see her the day she was up for adoption so I could refer her to people in our waiting list. I like to meet the dogs first before referring. We had no foster homes, still don't. I couldn't take her, I wish I had.
I have cried over this and I don't want people to think I abandoned her there. I did but I had no choice. She was a stray and wasn't dumped by an owner...but it doesn't matter now.
I do know that an autopsy is being done to the dogs that were the sickest. Apparently she was quite sick, I am told.
First I was told by the Surrey SPCA that it was kennel cough, then when I said WHAT?..you put her to sleep due to kennel cough!!! the employee who answered the phone said it was distemper.
