When it suits them, the SPCA says it has no euthanasia statistics. And when it suits them, suddenly it produces some.

If the SPCA were really trying to stop its recent past policy of immediate euthanasia of thousands of feral cats a year, why then did it try to shut down the best feral cat rehabilitator in BC, Forgotten Felines in Richmond?

As for no more killing for space, only for aggression? The example of Cheech, the good-natured pup that SPCA staff and volunteers stole to stop the SPCA killing him is only the most public example of how "scientific tests" can be made to produce any result the testers want, including killing for space. As for the data to prove that the SPCA temperament test is real science? The SPCA has consistently declined to provide any.

The BC SPCA is still not "open, accountable, and transparent" as it claims to be. If any real animal rescuers had been interviewed, a different story would have emerged.

Sorry Ms. Chortyk, every no-kill shelter DOES NOT MAKE exactly the same decisions about temperament and medical euthanasia
