Animal Advocates Watchdog

Thank you so much for your courageous call to action!

Thank you so much for your courageous call to action! I am more than 100% behind you because I know in my heart that those of us who truly love and want to save the lives of animals , endangered in cages in SPCA branches across the province , have been left with no other option.

We have waited until we can wait no longer. The animals at risk deserve better than waiting - young, old, sick, healthy, they deserve to live and\or die surrounded by people who love them. The successful rescue of Cheech showed us clearly that what was done once, can be done over and over again.

I must stress the urgency of being vigilant and taking action as soon as an animal at risk is identified. For people who for any reasons want to help but cannot physically take part in the rescue of animals on death row, safe havens are desperately needed. Those who are willing to provide a safe haven are very special people, vital for a successful and happy ending to the life-saving action of each dedicated rescuer. I strongly urge those people who like myself, have known "in their gut" that the waiting had to end and this action would have to be taken, to please step forward in the same faith and courage that AAS has shown. There is much more to this call to action than the initial act itself. This is a committment which calls for a vast network of volunteers who are willing to help in every way imaginable, including sending heartful messages of encouragement and support.

If your "gut" is saying yes, if your heart aches for the needless, senseless killing of innocent animals, you are needed and will be thanked in ways which only animals can unconditionally show us.

I have witnessed rescues and the miraculous cooperation of the thankful victims. I have felt the gratitude, the slow but sure growth of trust and the point of realization that when you say the words "You are safe here", you mean what you say in the very depth of your soul.

Please e-mail your support to this committed and principled organization in any way that you can. I too thank the staff and volunteers at the Delta SPCA shelter who showed the way, the only way, that remains to make a difference in the lives of those who cannot help themselves.

I am asking, once again, that the BC SPCA live up to it's own "Animal Care Guidelines", including the "Five Freedoms"
THE "CHEECH" SOLUTION: Time to start rescuing more dogs from more SPCAs *LINK*
