This post is the most concise and clear summary of the business activity of the BC SPCA I have yet to read! It is beneficial for all , as a relative newcomer to service for Animal Welfare and to those who are not new but I believe can always use a " fine-tuned and freshly-painted " picture of what can be an overwhelming full historical account.
In the post by AAS titled 'THE THIRD LAWYER'S ATTACK ON AAS BY THE BC SPCA', AAS stated
"The SPCA may have spent over $100,000 by now instead of just doing honest animal welfare and prevention of cruelty to animals so that AAS would no longer be impelled to try to force it to." This statement I believe shows undeniably where the priority of the BC SPCA sits amid the infinite number of aspects of Animal Welfare.
The BC SPCA has chosen, from a number of viable and animal serving options, how it will respond to AAS and the web site content. The BC SPCA's choice to squander a large amount of money in an attempt to silence an animal welfare group which thoughtfully and thoroughly presents credible, documented, proven and honest feedback, whether positive or negative, is clearly in line with the choice of a large corporation, desperate to protect its empire in the marketplace. In this one act alone the BC SPCA has painted a self portrait - it isn't a pretty one! The question in my mind is one which has no rational answer - what on earth are they thinking?
