SPCA Seizes Horses and Goats in Kamloops

July 17, 2002. For immediate release. On July 16, the Kamloops SPCA executed a search warrant under the provision of the Prevention of BC Cruelty to Animals (PCA) Act and seized five horses and five goats from a property. The animals were found in distress and did not have adequate food, water or shelter. At least one animal requires veterinary care.

The owner of the animals cannot be located. Under the PCA Act the SPCA will provide care for the animals, and find them appropriate homes after the legal 14-day holding period is completed.
