Hi Animal Lovers,

I am hoping you will be able to join me for another demonstation at the Greater Vancouver Zoo on Sat Dec 4 from noon to 2:30pm. This time the purpose is to protest the terrible conditions under which the majority of the animals there are forced to live in. These conditions include:
- small, barren, enclosures for the lions, tigers and giraffes
- unheated enclosures for the hippos
- muddy, waterlogged enclosures during rainy conditions
- black bears and wolves housed together, creating stress for both species
- bird cages so small that flight is not possible
- reptile cages so small little movement is possible

I am hoping to bring enough public pressure onto the zoo that they will be forced to either make the changes recommended in a report from ZooCheck Canada or close. Could you please pass the word to as many animal lovers and activists that you know. Ashley Fruno, the local PETA rep will also be sending you an e-mail about this.
