Does the BC SPCA value these suggestions or have they too been thrown away in the trash along with other feedback
In Response To: #1. Executive Summary ()

Stated in the Executive Summary Report, “The public was very appreciative of the opportunity to express their views and concerns. They were grateful that the BC SPCA was willing to listen to them. They invested much time, thought and energy in making submissions and they intend to hold the BC SPCA accountable”

The BC SPCA has not heard the concerns of the public or of Big Heart Rescue when it came to the loss of six lives at the Surrey SPCA in March 2004. To date, BHR has not received facts and verification as to why these six dogs died and any attempt to hold the BC SPCA accountable, including a formal complaint with the BC SPCA Ethics Committee has resulted in deafening silence.

Additionally stated in the Summary Report, “It is the panel's view that the recommendations are reasonable and achievable”.

Has the BC SPCA won back the public’s support by taking action in response to the recommendations? I would suggest that the answer is no, it has not. It has been demonstrated through many newspaper accounts, television stories and city council meetings that there is a dire lack of trust generated by the general public towards the SPCA and as the negativity surrounding the BC SPCA continues, its recourse has been to fire stellar employees, dismiss volunteers who speak out and launch a law suit against AAS and some of its posters, including this writer.

The panel believed that their recommendations are reasonable and achievable, but my question is, does the BC SPCA value these suggestions or have they too been thrown away in the trash along with other feedback that has been provided that the organization disagrees with or dismisses?
