When I first became a vegetarian 15 years ago I found it really difficult to maintain a healthy diet, as there was just not a lot to choose from at the grocery store. I was a vegetarian by omission alone, rather than by replacement. Now, it is SO EASY to be a vegetarian, as there are so many wonderful meat-free options at grocery stores and in restaurants.
I can't even begin to start listing the cruel evils that define the meat industry. There is absolutely nothing humane or sensible about eating meat. If we all took a moment to actually think about what we are doing every time we buy a hamburger or a piece of farmed salmon, or a dozen factory farmed eggs with their palid sickly little yolks...the meat industry is destoying our planet, making people sick, and causing unspeakable suffering to millions of our fellow creatures.
So, meat eaters - what's your excuse?
