I can certainly relate to your messages to the "dear dogs and cats" as all those endearing, entertaining, laughable and lovable qualities and behaviours remind me every day why I love them all so much and wouldn't trade them for anything in the world. The "pun" on the word "fur"niture was hilariously new to me and certainly fits right in at my home. I also can say there are many days when I prefer animals over people which probably explains why now, as my children are grown and living on their own and my adult partner escaped a very long time ago, all anyone will find here are those animals I often prefer and myself. Heavenly!! As far as selling their children goes, I am sure there was the odd time when I would have offered one of my own non-furbabes for a nickel (not seriously of course, but not everyone knew that). If any of my furbabes had children I would have a terrible time, because I would already, even after only 8-10 weeks of loving them too, be convinced that there was absolutely, positively, without a shred of a doubt no home that would be good enough for any one of them, other than the home they already had - mine!!! I guess you can understand why Birth Control was at the top of my family discussion list - fur or not, 2 legged or four! Otherwise, I would have any number of grandchildren scurrying about my house and, well you know what the SPCA says, " 1 + 1 = 6, doesn't it?
