Animal Advocates Watchdog

His agony was so palpable to me as he paced back and forth

I personally doubt how much kids learn from watching caged animals. My dad spoke for years about the first time he took me to a real zoo when I was six. I was watching a lion in a cage, and his agony was so palpable to me as he paced back and forth in front of the bars, that I actually fainted, and caused quite a scene. I kept crying "he's going crazy".I never wanted to go to a circus or a zoo after that.
