I used to whisper to the Stanley Zoo bears that I would be back to set them free, when I was young - but not as it turns out - naive.

I did go back and helped Lifeforce Foundation shut the Stanley Park Zoo many years later. At that time, all I did was go to a demonstration, but it was the beginning for me of understanding that instead of crying, there was something active I could do. At the moment I started taking action, I stopped crying.
