As a mother I am absolutely horrified by the lack of empathy shown by the three young people videotaped hanging a dead rabbit outside a campus eatery.

Was it supposed to make a point of some sort?

Was it supposed to be funny?

Personally I feel it is time for the University of Victoria to make a definite policy concerning their rabbit population that includes expelling of students caught committing animal cruelty.

The link between violence to animals and violence to humans is proven.
There should be no more excuses accepted, violence is violence and it is simply unacceptable.
