Yes, Creston PAWS has been robbed, as we have informed Aaron MacArthur of BCTV *several* times, and as we have informed Tim Perry, the weekend producer, several times.

We at Big Dog Rescue began working with the Creston PAWS about six weeks ago, and with the great support of the rescue community and our tremendous volunteers, have sent up food, money and other items. When PAWS expressed an interest in having us be the adoption "clearing house" so to speak, for the Lower Mainland, we were more than happy to help, and between everyone managed to arrange transport for the dogs to get down here.

At the airport was the first interview with BCTV, at that time we made it very clear that PAWS had saved these dogs from a terrible fate, and we were just more than happy to help them in anyway we could. The same has been said at every interview since. BCTV has taken more than four hours of tape at our home, and aired perhaps four to five minutes of it. Needless to say, huge amounts of information were left out, people we wished to thank on behalf of PAWS and ourselves, ways they could help PAWS with the remaining dogs, so on and so forth.

We realize that BCTV just wanted to shoot footage of the dogs happily playing because it is a "feel good story" with very little investigative work required. And because the footage has already helped four dogs find good, qualified homes, we feel it has overall been beneficial.

We do ask everyone to please send letters and calls of complaint to BCTV and their parent company. PAWS deserves all the credit here, in no way should the SPCA be brought into this except in a negative light.

Yes, we do upon occasion work with the SPCA. We have helped them with some dogs, and we did host a meeting. We feel that we can help more dogs be placed in loving homes by working with as many people, rescues and organizations as possible, so we try and stay on good terms with everyone. We may be naive in thinking that, we may be gullible, but we are going to try and keep working with everyone until none of the big dogs are left to languish in small kennels or on the end of chains. (We want all animals to have lives of quality and love btw, not just big dogs.)

If anyone on this board would like to come out and meet us, see the dogs and have a cool drink and chat, please do, we love meeting people from the "animal loving" world. Just email us at BigDogRescue@aol.com
