I was away this weekend; back to work this morning & first thing I heard about was the Courier advertisement.
Here's how the Adopt-A-Pet Ad works: the Courier newspaper goes onto our web site with permission & takes the photographs off the site. A courier newspaper employee adds the captions. We had nothing to do with the captions, ourselves. However,we have called the Courier & explained to them that we do not adopt guard dogs nor do we promote the use of guard dogs; that the captions on the ads are in contravention of our articulated policy. The Courier representative seemed to understand and has agreed to print a retraction in the next issue.

I trust this error will not occur again.
