Write the CBC -- though CBC does not take criticism very well

the CBC Ombudsman is Vince Carlin. He can be reached at ombudsman@cbc.ca

The Ombudsman web site is at: http://www.cbc.ca/ombudsman/page/contact.html

Based on my experience, complaints will likely receive a bureaucratic response from a CBC Calgary manager who will defend the Stampede as a 'legitimate athletic event' which the various horses, cows, and calves 'look forward to' every year. CBC does not take criticism very well and does not like to admit mistakes. I noticed that after my correspondence by email with CBC and letters criticizing the corporation in one of our local papers, CBC Yukon stopped updating their Yukon Quest web site after the 2006 race (possibly because they became aware that people were noticing the inherent cruelty incidents in the reports). They still remain very supportive of the race though.

No worries - the stampede works closely with the SPCA and the Calgary Humane Society
If the Calgary Stampede is an example of prevention of cruelty to animals...
I hope I read a clear and unambiguous condemnation of animal sports and this rodeo in particular by both societies
