Money to burn, but not for animals

The BC SPCA spent itself into a 4.5 million dollar hole, but doesn't have SPC 's north of Prince George.

That is very serious indeed. The SPCA exists to enforce the PCA Act. Could the RCMP get away with saying it does not have any officers north of Prince George?

What did the SPCA spend those millions on?

For one, it has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on lawyers to try to silence its critics, especially Animal Advocates. Then it has spent a bundle trying to get rid of the competition, as Jennifer Dickson of Vernon points out in her post above "More dead Animals and More Pathetic SPCA Excuses". It seems to be awash in SPC's with nothing to do on a Friday afternoon but harass decent women doing much more humane work than they do.

There's a very long list of self-serving expenditures by the SPCA, but not much has improved the lot of animals in this province.
