Bonnie Bischoff: What a frightening day for the animals of BC

"Thompson Regional Director Jeni Mason is to be commended for having the guts to stand at the microphone at today's BC SPCA Annual General Meeting and state that the SPCA (she named Kamloops branch in particular) still kills animals for space, and that in her opinion that is one of the biggest problems to be addressed."

Former Regional Director of the Thompson Region Jeni Mason, stated at the Annual General Meeting that killing for space is a concern that needs to be addressed; naming in particular Bonnie Bischoff’s former workplace, the Kamloops SPCA. Kudos to Jeni Mason for speaking out publicly.

A controversial frontline employee during the May 2003 Kamloops SPCA killing of surrendered puppy mill dogs, Bonnie Bischoff has been elected Regional Director for the Thompson District.

Craig Daniell, CEO of the BCSPCA, has in his possession a very detailed accounting of her lack of compassion for frightened animals as well as her inability to compromise or to accept outside help. Are these then the qualities that are being sought in SPCA Regional Directors? What a frightening day for the animals of BC.
