If the BC SPCA educated people and promoted the animals and had a comprehensive spay/neuter campaign which also educated a few more people might be more sympathetic to Mr Daniell's excuses.
If the SPCA had follow up counselling for problems post adoption more adoptions would be successful.
If the SPCA discouraged people from surrendering and had inexpensive obedience and other classes available from their facilities less animals would be surrendered.
Actually, perhaps Head Office should just re-read the community consultation and work on doing those items suggested rather than just maximizing adoptions.
It is supposed to be about the animals, not the bottom line.
