Shuffling animals from A to B is a marketing tool that does not save lives.
For every dog brought down from the North I bet one dog on the Mainland is killed as it is not as adoptable as the one from the North.

No, not a chance...but we have an improved product.
The BC SPCA is supposed to be ANIMAL WELFARE based and this just isn't.
Oh and the person who said only 500 animals could be spayed and neutered....
Even with 1 + 1 = 6 you save 3000....and that is by reducing only 1 litter each if you concentrate on spaying rather than neutering.
I will be interested to see how many animals are actually transported in a year and how many are actually young sellable product.
