Two days ago another reason was provided to Big Heart Rescue on why a donation is not going to the BC SPCA.

Upon reviewing an application to adopt one of our dogs that was submitted by a family in Chilliwack, it was determined BHR did not have a PERFECT MATCH, so this family was refered to three other small rescue groups who might have the new family member they are searching for.

As long-term SPCA financial supporters this family first approached (through e-mail and telephone) a variety of different SPCAs in the lower mainland and stated to this writer that after not hearing back from any of the branches that had been contacted, they turned to a non-profit rescue group.

Can I tell you where their donor dollars are going now...yep you guessed...to BHR!
