Isn't it interesting that the first line of defence for some people who disagree with another's message is to go into a personal attack? Instead of looking at the issue from a new perspective, they will mock and belittle the messenger rather than admit that there is, indeed, a problem to be addressed.
Obviously, the graphic pictures of bleeding dogs can be conveniently overlooked by those who continue to make money at these animals' expense.
My beliefs regarding using any animal for any human need - be it profit, prowess, or even fun -can be summed up by the following quote from The Colour Purple, by Alice Walker:
"The animals of the world exist for their own reasons. They were not made for humans any more than black people were made for white, or women made for men."
Somehow, I am tempted to think that a lot of the people who continue to regard animals as theirs to dominate and use, will not even agree with that quote.
