Mr. Mostyn,

Thank you for publishing the letter from Terry Cumming of SledDogWatchdog and bringing attention to the cruelty involved with this "sport." There's no need for sled dog racing and the tradition of mushing to continue on into the 21st century. So, shame on those who sponsor this event, and to those media and government partners who condone the Quest.

As society is becoming increasingly sensitive to animal welfare issues and our relationship with non-human species, it is refreshing to read of one man's commitment to a cause that others have ignored. Clearly, Mr Cumming is ahead of the pack in the Yukon.
