It is always courageous to take an unpopular stand

Dear Mr. Mostyn,

Thank you so much for publishing Mr. Terry Cumming's letter of Oct. 31st, 07.

The plight of the Yukon Quest dogs, and others in similar circumstances needs to be heard.
The use of these dogs serves only to satisfy human competitiveness and greed.
Mr. Cumming is a brave man, as are you for publishing his letter, as it is always courageous to take an unpopular stand.
And yet, I am sure that as people become more aware of these so - called sports, the tide will turn, and people from around the world will applaud the end of these brutal "sports."

Sincerely,
Lyn MacDonald
Coombs, B.C.
