Dear Mr. Mostyn:

On behalf of the many battered and bleeding dogs that are forced to do a human's bidding, I thank you for your bravery in printing Mr. Cumming's letter. I say bravery because there most certainly will be a huge faction of your readers who will vehemently disagree with any attempt to eradicate this cruel 'sport'.

It can be a daunting task to educate the masses on any topic, and your medium is one of the most valuable tools in this battle. Many thanks again for allowing our voices to be heard through your newspaper.
