Yes. I asked PETA why it was killing animals, and they replied that they were sorry that the animals had been thrown in a dumpster.
I asked again, and received the same answer.
I asked a third time, and was told they would not discuss the matter with me.

My understanding from this correspondance was that they were sorry that they had been caught, not that they were sorry that their employees were killing animals.
