It's a Start - the SPCA has a policy of destroying alleged wolf-dog crosses because of the danger they pose. Why don't they have a similar policy on the fighting breeds?

No logical person could believe that banning pit bulls will solve society's dangerous dog problem, but it's a start. Yes, it's a slippery slope, I agree, but one I'm happy to go down. Start with pit bulls and continue with Argentine Dogos, Presa Canarios, Fila Brasilieros, Cane Corsos, Bullmastiffs, and their ilk. Let's ban the fighting breeds, and also the keeping of any dog in circumstances that lead to desocialization. No more rottweilers on chains, no more Dobermans locked in garages, and no more German shepherds guarding grow-ops.

Every one of these dogs that is rescued from a short brutal life by a caring compassionate family is easily replaced by backyard breeders eager to make a quick buck. The breeding and mistreating of fighting and protection breed dogs won't stop until it is outlawed.

Current DNA tests can't distinguish a wolf from a dachshund, yet the SPCA has a policy of destroying alleged wolf-dog crosses because of the danger they pose. Why don't they have a similar policy on the fighting breeds?

The guy was in his twenties, the dog was a CANE CORSO
Two-pronged legislation is needed
If you really love pit bulls.....
Re: If you really love pit bulls.....
I believe that you are attempting to make the "slippery slope" argument
What if..... *LINK*
Voluntary reductions in breeding have not worked
Perhaps of no surprise is that the mother of Shenica White is supportive of my effort for a ban on these breeds
I have a $700 vet bill that I am currently fighting a Golden Retriever's owner to help me pay
