Two-pronged legislation is needed

Thoughtful lawmakers will eventually heed the will of the majority and ban all of the fighting breeds. Let's hope that happens while the exotic attack dogs are still relatively rare. They are here already though, so prompt action must be taken.

A ban on the keeping of yard and guard dogs goes hand in glove with a breed ban. Such two-pronged legislation will go a long ways in protecting dogs and the public.

Dr Moe Milstein: Will a ban on pit bulls solve our dangerous dog problem?
It's a Start - the SPCA has a policy of destroying alleged wolf-dog crosses because of the danger they pose. Why don't they have a similar policy on the fighting breeds?

Voluntary reductions in breeding have not worked
Perhaps of no surprise is that the mother of Shenica White is supportive of my effort for a ban on these breeds
I have a $700 vet bill that I am currently fighting a Golden Retriever's owner to help me pay
