This summer the Victoria SPCA has had an unadvertised pet surrender wait-list of four weeks to six weeks or longer.
The fact that any for-profit boarding is being done at all in any BC SPCA facility is inexcusable.
The animals waiting to get into any BC SPCA facility should take precedence. As anyone in animal welfare knows many people do not have somewhere or someone to keep their pet for 6 weeks when they no longer can.
