PLEASE contact CTV and let them know what a great story it was and THANK them for their continued coverage on Finnegan.
We need a continued ongoing coverage of dogs just like Finnegan who are being out right ignored by the SPCA every single day - there is not a shortage of them.
Just like Datelines 'to catch a predator' - the same thing could easily be done with dogs like Finnigan - a never ending story exposing the *&^%$ who keep these souls in that state and showing how they are being ignored by the wealthy animal welfare organizations.
Everyone who knows of a backyard/chained/penned/neglected/abused dog - get video - send it to CTV with the details of how many times the SPCA has been contacted and what has/has not been done.
Continue to video and keep a log - exact day/time/who you talked to and what was said - and stay on top of it. Call back...do the same and keep videoing - then contact CTV again.
With enough people contacting and truly letting them know this IS an outrageous problem and Finn was NOT an 'oops' accident who slipped through the system like stated in the story.
I am blessed to have a former "Ignored by the SPCA" chained/neglected/abused/starved & finally poisoned dog, as a companion in my life.
We 'little guys' should not have to put ourselves at risk and go in to debt even more every single day to help dogs like my boy and Finnegan - it's ridiculous.
This one has really hit a nerve with me and my video camera is charging as we speak.
