All of factory meat production is kept very hidden from public view. You might see animals being transported, but that would be it. More needs to be brought forth, so that people can see for themselves the terrible suffering and horrendous cruelty that is involved in bringing this "product" to your table. I know that the rules regarding transport and handling of livestock is much different from say that for human companion animals. For example, cattle can be transported for 52 hours without water, and that is ok. This is a very sad statement of the people whom make these laws and the people working in the animal processing industry, that the lives of these poor animals are worth so little. Also, how can you catagorize animals like this ? A cow is a cow is a cow. Factory farmed animals need water and nutrition like any other animal. But unfortunately most people are, I think, indifferent to where their food comes from. But, I think if you eat meat, you have some moral responsibilty to know the truth.
