The baby goat you are talking about is alive and well

The baby goat you are talking about is alive and well, as is the Pot Belly pig that was rescued at the same time. Baby goat's name is Lola and she lives inside right now and is very vocal if not getting the attention she wants. I heard her last night on the phone letting her Mom know that it was time to be petted. I was in the driveway waiting for my friend to arrive with her. She was skin and bones with a painted-on stripe of felt pen down her back. I assume this was to mark her as "for slaughter". I asked my friend where the pig was as I didn't see him in the back of the truck in a crate. She opened the truck door.....and there he was! Grey with a white band of hair all the way around his neck. He was in the back seat! Lola was given to me to hold as Lori coaxed the pig out. He was really frightened but once out and in the grassy yard began to root around, dig and munch on the tender grass. Lola was so weak she couldn't even suck on a bottle of goat's milk. By morning she was stronger and was taking to the bottle with vigor. She eats on her own now and because of my friend she is not on someone's plate but part of a loving family, and a large one as she also has the company of rescued dogs, other rescued goats, a pot belly pig...you get the picture.
