Subject: Dogs seized from Chilliwack Hobby Farm Attn:SPCA Board of Directors
To SPCA Board of Directors
I recently fostered a wonderful little black and white Chihuahua that was seized from a Chilliwack "hobby" farm. The Chihuahua was not in good condition at all when I received her. Her ears were scabbed all over, she was beyond skinny and she was very shy and scared. This dog did not come from a good place. We nursed her back, she learned all the things that a normal dog should know, such as how to go up and downstairs, what a leash is and most important, how to have fun and be loved. Yesterday, with a broken heart, I had to return the puppy to the sunshine coast spca. They had left a message saying the dogs were being returned to the owner. Since my family had taken 4 of the dogs spread out between my aunt, mom, and myself, my mom and aunt returned them. At that time they learned that all the lady had to do to get back her dogs was to pay $11000.00. I thought the SPCA was going to take this woman to court. I thought these dogs were going to be protected, not a cash cow. We will not be silent, we will fight for the welfare of these 10 dogs. Please reconsider your decision on these mistreated animals. Their happiness is in your hands...
