Bob Busch( Interior Regional Manager) is quoted on Canada.com concerning seizures on Sat. July 19, 2003 as saying, "This is a province wide mission" said Busch. "We take every kind of animal you can think of". "For those who can't take care of their animals the SPCA exists for that very reason. They should call us and we'll come up with a solution."
The fundamental problem is after the media plays on people's emotions and the donations are received by the BCSPCA what is done for the animals?
In this case, the owner paid the seizure costs and the animals were returned.
How does this solution benefit the animals? Or is the solution not supposed to?
